The Government wishes to deny unfounded allegations that the Head of Public Service and Secretary to the Cabinet, Ambassador Francis Muthaura, stopped the publication of the Interim Independent Boundaries Review Commission’s List of new boundaries.
These allegations, featured in several media outlets, have no basis whatsoever, because at no time did Ambassador Muthaura instruct or interfere with the working of the Government Printer. It should be noted that traditionally, once a document is given to the Government Printer, it can take three to four days before the printing/gazettment of the document.
Those making allegations about Ambassador Francis Muthaura on this matter should either produce evidence or apologize and cease to do so at once.
