VP Kalonzo Musyoka Condoles with Ghana

Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka today visited the Ghanaian High Commission in Nairobi where he signed the book of condolences in honour of the West African country’s fallen President Prof. John Atta Mills.

Mr. Musyoka who was received by the High Commissioner Kingsley Saka Abdul Karimu described the death of President Atta Mills as a big blow to not only Ghana, but also to the whole of African continent.

“President Atta Mills was a great Pan Africanist. His death is a big blow to the continent. I wish to send my deepest condolences to the government and people of the great nation of Ghana during this difficult period”, Mr. Musyoka noted.

Mr. Abdul Karimu described the death of President Mills whom he said was an “exceptionally good leader” as a shock to his country.

He however thanked God for the peaceful and smooth transition in which former Vice President John Dramani Mahama was sworn in as the country’s new President.

The late President Atta Mills, 68, who was President of Ghana since 2009 died yesterday at a military hospital in Accra following an illness.
