The ACT is not a Media Law but an Information & Communication Act to enable growth of technology including satellites, mobile telephones, frequencies, internet connectios etc. the Act is in keeping with similar ones in East African Nations (Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi) and will create 100,000 jobs in three years time and bring the country over 300 billion shillings in revenue. The ACT also allows use of electronic data in court to fight MONEY LAUNDERING, TERRORISM and DRUG TRAFFICKING.
