Following the recent plane crash in Marsabit where the country lost fourteen people, and other sad events in the country, it is felt that there is a need for the country to come together in prayer and reflection.
In this regard, His Excellency the President has declared Friday 21st April, 2006 a National Prayer Day. The Head of State will on that day lead the nation in prayer at the KICC grounds starting at 1:00 pm.
Similar prayers will be conducted at the Provincial, District and Divisional Headquarters countrywide. To facilitate attendance by as many people as possible, Friday the 21St April, 2006 has been declared a Public Holiday.
